Staff was very overwhelmed and under trained. Cashier struggled to input the order correctly. Food was decent, but not worth the hassle or delay. Probably won't go back.

We had just arrived in FWB, and wanted a restaurant close to Publix where we were headed next. We saw Momma Goldberg's on the map, and decided to give it a try. Thanks to another review, we knew not to blink or we'd miss it. When we saw it, we wondered where on earth we were going to park. But then we turned left, and left again, and were on the back road that houses the businesses' parking lots. Score! There was plenty of room in the lot, and we made our way in. There was no line at the time (around 6 p.m. on a Saturday). The girl behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. She asked if we'd ever been there before. When we said no, she gave a nice synopsis of the menu and what is most popular. She went through the sandwiches and soups, and also mentioned there are nachos and cheese on the menu. We ordered 4 sandwiches, chips and fountain drinks, and found a booth toward the front to wait. This was a nice spot for people watching on the busy strip. Soon enough, our food was brought out. After a day on the road eating at restaurants, we had opted for the smaller-sized sandwich option on the menu. This, with chips, pickle, and a drink, was the perfect sized meal. We had what the girl told us were the most popular items, the first two on the menu: Momma's Delite and Turkey Delite. Similar enough to what you get at Jimmy John's, but different tasting bread. They also have a Momma's sauce which is like a zesty Italian. We opted to have the sandwiches steamed, which was a really nice touch. In all, we'll be back next time we're in town. Easy parking, near Publix, nice portion size options, good-tasting sandwiches, and great service. We'll have to try the soup next time. The board listed today's soups as Cream of Potato and Cream of Broccoli. The girl behind the counter said they had Tomato soup yesterday, and that was very popular. We'll also have to try the nachos next time as I've seen other reviewers raving about them.

If you're looking for a quick delicious sandwich while in FT. Walton, this is not the place. I was so excited when I saw Momma Goldberg's because I LOVE Jewish deli's but this place was incredibly disappointing. I ordered the Turkey Delight which was a soggy mess. It was so bad that I ended up tossing my sandwich and opting for Taco Bell (which I have not eaten in 5 plus years). The only reason I didn't give a one star review is because my husband had the Pastrama Momma and it was edible.

I went in strictly because I got a coupon in the mail for free nachos. I ordered the nachos and a sandwich and they both tasted the same... Like melted American cheese. It was nasty!

Our family loves Momma Goldberg's. It's a great place for a hot sandwich and a cold beer. It's simple food made right, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Try the nachos with jalapenos!

Horrible sandwich . Who would have thought that a cold cut meat sandwich would be steamed? Bun was all gooey, nasty. Will not return there.

Was feelin' for a sandwich and it was either here or Jimmy Johns. Now I've had JJ's before, so I thought I'd see the other side this time around. Staff - 5/5: very nice, fast service. Location - 4/5: downtown FWB. Great spot yet blink and you miss it. I love places that have random decor on the wall. Food - 1/5: I ordered a Big Momma combo with potato salad to go. When I opened the bag, I was immediately disappointed. First off, the portion you get for the cost is definitely not worth the value. After unraveling the foil, it looked like I had two sliders rolled up and slapped together with sandwich meat and veggies inside. I couldn't help but ask myself "where's the rest?" Now what made it worse was the quality. Maybe it was my fault for asking for to-go AND all the way done but something made it soggy and oily. As I said I tried their potato salad instead of chips but this let me down too. Why? It was okay except a tad too much on the creamy side. Only real savior in this equation was the sweet tea to wash it down. Pricing- 4/5: less than $10, which was what I was aiming for. Overall 2/5: When I was ordering, everyone's around me looked great! But when I took it to my personal table, I get the exact opposite? No ma'am/no sir!

Got the Camel Rider for lunch. Ham, Turkey, Salami, Cheddar in a pita. It was delicious. The pita was fresh and very thin (not bready) but held the meats very well and didn't fall apart. Very juicy meats and melty cheese, and the italian dressing is a nice touch. The fam had wraps and everyone was very satisfied. The service was relatively quick and not overly friendly (but in no way rude). Great place for a quick lunch. I will definitely return.

We were looking for something relatively quick and inexpensive for lunch and this place was decently-reviewed on Yelp. My initial recommendation is that if you are approaching from Eglin Pkwy, you may need to go past this strip of businesses to the next light, make a left, and loop around the street that runs along the back of them. It is difficult / impossible to turn across the median when heading westbound. Once on the back street, you can easily access the parking lot that serves this area. Mama Goldberg's is apparently a chain, but I'd never heard of them before. They appear to have a fair variety of sandwiches or you can create your own. I was looking for a BLT, but failing that I wound up with a Reuben which was quite good. The others in our party got a roast beef and chicken-based sandwiches, which were fine. If I were in the area and needed a quick lunch again, I'd definitely consider going back.

My boyfriend and I came here on a Sunday at 3 in the afternoon. It was empty. I should have told them it was my first time there! Apparently they give you a breakdown of how to order... I ordered the cheese sandwich, mozzarella cheese on a honey wheat bun. It was mush. The roll was not sandwich bread, it was like a hot dog bun, which is ridiculous. Because the moment they steamed the sandwich, it was wonderfully soggy. The bf got the momma pastrami sandwich, it looked good and the bread they used was on point. He enjoyed his sandwich. I will give this place another try and probably order a different type of bread.

This is a great place to eat! It is family oriented and parents can also enjoy a beer or glass of wine. There is a bar you can sit and drink also you can watch tv! The sandwiches are amazing and are steamed to perfection! The ingredients are fresh and melt in your mouth delicious! You also have the choice of salads. And if you are vegetarian they have a menu for you to! When it's comes to the sandwiches you have the choice to build your own sandwich or choose from the menu! You have 8 choices of different breads to choose from along with 8 different cheeses and 9 different meats! The staff is very pleasant and professional! And they make your sandwich in a timely fashion so you aren't waiting thirty minutes. They also bring you your food if you just want to go ahead and sit! The building in the inside is very clean and new! And staff members wear gloves when they are making your food which is always GOOD!!

Horrible sandwiches! I tried this place twice just to make sure it wasn't just the type of sandwich I got the first time that was bad. The first time I got a type of Italian sub. The type of bread they use, sesame seed hoagie roll, became so soggie from them steaming the whole sandwich. The claim to fame at this place is "the steam." Well, in my opinion, the bread choice mixed with steam is a horrible combo. On this first trip I also got the "famous" Momma's nachos which is just Doritos with melted pepper jack cheese and a few jarred jalapeños thrown on top...not sure why they are famous. My second trip I got a turkey wrap. The wrap was okay, but not worth the price and nothing to write home about. If you like expensive soggy sandwiches this is the place for you. Save your money and either make a sandwich at home (which will taste better), or go to Firehouse Subs.

I love trying out delis so I knew I needed to try this one. I've never heard or seen steamed sandwiches. I just got the turkey sandwich and baked potato soup. The soup was good. I also got sweet tea which is good as well. I liked the sandwich except for the bread they use. it doesn't seem to do well being steamed. It gets a little mushy. I sent around 2:30 so no one was there and the staff was really nice and attentive. They explained everything to me since it was my first time and I guess they are well known for their nachos. Its definitely good just keep in mind your sandwich gets steamed.
